Dubai is the city where big plans take place and innovation reigns supreme. The world's tallest skyscraper and the world's largest shopping mall are located in Dubai, and now another one of its unique attractions has made it into the Guinness Book of Records. This is the deepest diving pool in the world, Deep Dive Dubai, where at a depth of 196 feet (60 meters) hides a "sunken city" among 3.6 million gallons (14 million liters) of water. To put it more directly, such an amount of water is equivalent to six Olympic swimming pools!
If you want to live an unprecedented experience, you have the option to dive into the waters of the pool with a mask and there you will see an amazing underwater attraction that looks like an abandoned sunken city you can discover. Of course, one dive is not enough to explore this huge underwater city, which is full of adventure! The water is kept at 30 degrees to create the perfect conditions for diving with no need to wear thick wetsuits.
Deep Dive Dubai also functions as an underwater film studio, complete with a media editing room, video wall, 56 underwater cameras and state-of-the-art lighting and sound systems to create different atmospheres.
If you are worried about the enormous depth and how you will cope with such a dive, the official website states that, "Deep Dive Dubai is staffed by professional and experienced scuba and freedivers who will share diving tips and tricks, teach you advanced diving techniques, ensure a safe dive and offer advice on how to configure your dive equipment".
A dive at Deep Dive Dubai will cost you around 400 euros, with the price including the necessary equipment. However, if you are not one of the daring divers, you can simply stare at the bottom of the pool from the special glass, while dining in the restaurant.
