Los Angeles Is Named One Of The ‘World’s Best Cities’ In 2025
Good news for Angelenos (and anyone who loves the City of Angels): Los Angeles just climbed higher on the list of the World’s Best Cities for 2025!
According to Resonance Consultancy’s new rankings, L.A. has snagged the #14 spot worldwide and holds steady as the second-best city in the U.S., just behind New York. Not a bad place to be!
So, what’s fueling all this recognition?
A Global Stage for Sports & Entertainment
If there’s one thing L.A. knows how to do, it’s put on a show. With the 2026 FIFA World Cup and the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games on the calendar, the city is gearing up to welcome the world. Events will take over legendary venues like the Memorial Coliseum and the sleek SoFi Stadium. Fun fact: this will make L.A. the first U.S. city to host the Olympics three times. Pretty epic, right?
Of course, the city’s reputation as the home of Hollywood and endless storytelling only adds to the magic.

Art, Museums & Culture on the Rise
Los Angeles isn’t just about movies and palm trees — it’s also investing big in culture. Museums like the Hammer, the Academy Museum, and LACMA are expanding and drawing new crowds, while programs like the Getty’s PST ART series and the NHM Commons are giving the city’s arts scene fresh momentum.
Getting Around Just Got Easier
Anyone who’s ever sat in L.A. traffic knows why this is exciting: significant improvements are underway for transportation. The Regional Connector Transit Project (a $1.7-billion upgrade), a massive LAX renovation worth $30 billion, and the future Brightline West high-speed train to Las Vegas are making the city more connected than ever.

The Neighborhood Glow-Up
It’s not just the big attractions — L.A.’s neighborhoods are evolving too. Projects like Rams Village at Warner Center are turning unused areas into buzzing hubs with housing, offices, and parks. Over on Crenshaw Boulevard, revitalization is highlighting the city’s diversity while fueling growth.
Add in adaptive reuse housing projects, new luxury hotels, and business-friendly development, and it’s easy to see why L.A. is being recognized as a city that keeps reinventing itself.
