London is officially one of the most stressful tourist destinations in the world
London’s latest tourism ranking sends mixed messages. The capital places eighth among the most stressful destinations in Radical Storage’s 2026 study, yet stress-related language appears in far fewer reviews than it did two years earlier.
The proportion of London attraction reviews flagged for anxiety-related wording fell from 17.7% in 2024 to 7% in 2026—a decrease of 10.7 percentage points. That is a substantial change, even though London remains among the study’s ten highest-scoring destinations.
For anyone considering a visit, the distinction matters: a place in the top ten tells only part of the story.
Radical Storage analyzed 85,238 attraction reviews across 100 destinations, using keywords associated with stress and anxiety. The updated research used reviews collected in March 2026. Its results reflect the language visitors used to describe attractions, rather than a direct measurement of every traveler’s experience.
Orlando recorded the highest proportion of flagged reviews, at 9.9%, followed by Beijing, Mumbai and Delhi. Tokyo and Kyoto shared fifth place, while Shanghai finished immediately ahead of London.
The top ten were:
Orlando, USA (#1)
Beijing, China (#2)
Mumbai, India (#3)
Delhi, India (#4)
Tokyo, Japan (tied for #5)
Kyoto, Japan (tied for #5)
Shanghai, China (#7)
London, UK (#8)
Johor Bahru, Malaysia (#9)
New York City, USA (#10)
These positions come from Radical Storage’s 2026 review analysis.
At the other end of the ranking, Buenos Aires and São Paulo shared the lowest score. Both had anxiety-related wording in just 0.3% of the reviews analyzed.
The ten destinations listed as least anxiety-inducing were:
Buenos Aires, Argentina (tied for #1)
São Paulo, Brazil (tied for #1)
Mugla, Türkiye (tied for #3)
Antalya, Türkiye (tied for #3)
Thessaloniki, Greece (tied for #3)
Tallinn, Estonia (tied for #3)
Warsaw, Poland (tied for #7)
Kraków, Poland (tied for #7)
Vilnius, Lithuania (tied for #7)
Bologna, Italy (tied for #7)
What should travelers take from these findings? The ranking offers a snapshot of how reviewers described their visits. It cannot promise a relaxing holiday in one destination or predict a stressful experience in another.
For London, the most useful takeaway is the combination of its position and its progress: the capital still ranks relatively high for stress-related reviews, but the latest figures show a marked decline from 2024.
