The UAE Flag Garden Returns: A Must-See Celebration by the Burj Al Arab
It’s that festive time of year again — the UAE Flag Garden has made its grand return to Dubai’s coastline.
Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Burj Al Arab, thousands of UAE flags now ripple proudly across Umm Suqeim Beach, transforming the sands into a striking tribute for UAE Flag Day and National Day celebrations.
Now in its 12th year, this vibrant display has become one of Dubai’s most beloved seasonal attractions. The installation, which runs from Friday, October 31, until Saturday, January 10, offers a limited-time opportunity to capture those picture-perfect moments with the Burj Al Arab and the newly opened Jumeirah Al Marsa in the background.
Brand Dubai, the project's creative arm of the Dubai Government, organizes the project as part of the citywide Zayed and Rashid celebrations honoring the nation’s founders — His Highness Sheik Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheik Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum.

This year’s edition takes the tribute a step further: the thousands of flags have been carefully arranged to form aerial portraits of both leaders, visible from above — a stunning fusion of art and patriotism.
The UAE Flag Garden has long been a favorite among locals, residents, and visitors alike, filling social media feeds with its vibrant colors and national pride. Entry is entirely free, and visitors are encouraged to share their photos using #ZayedAndRashid and #UAEFlagGarden.
Each year, buildings across the country proudly raise the flag on November 3 — which falls on a Monday this year — marking Flag Day, a commemoration of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s accession as President of the UAE in 2004.
Don’t miss the chance to visit this spectacular display — a true celebration of unity, heritage, and the UAE’s enduring spirit.
