Bosa: one of the most colorful and beautiful villages in Italy



Sardinia is a tourist destination that welcomes thousands of tourists from all over the world. Considered one of Sardinia’s gems, Bosa is actually one of the most beautiful and picturesque villages in Italy.

Located in the North West coast of Sardinia, Bosa is a small town of ancient origins that has a population of around 8,000 people. Characterized by typical colorful houses in pastel colors stacked on a steep hillside and the unpretentious narrow  alleyways of the old town, this picturesque village is rich of history and culture. Bosa is situated along the banks of the river Temo, offering beautiful views and a magical atmosphere.

The town has achieved to preserve several historic and architectural buildings such as the Church of San Pietro. Also, a place that worths to visit is the historic center of Bosa where you can find the Malaspina Castle on the hills. The castle has about 900 years of history as it was erected in 1112.

About 2 km west of the town centre, you can visit Bosa Marina, a busy summer resort, with a 1km-long  sandy beach with shallow water. There you can find facilities, water sports and a few bars and shops.
