Drunk Brit who exposed vagina on flight faces jail time
A Halifax woman who admitted exposing herself to fellow passengers on a TUI flight will be sentenced in December. Manchester magistrates sent Sarah Parker’s case to Minshull Street Crown Court after concluding that their sentencing powers were insufficient.
Parker, 30, was traveling from Birmingham to Melbourne, Florida, on 24 July 2025. During take-off, she left her seat to use the toilet despite instructions to stay seated. The court heard that she lowered her shorts and underwear and squatted in the aisle, exposing herself in view of other passengers.
The aircraft diverted to Manchester Airport. At the hearing on 3 November, prosecutor Edward Downes told magistrates that Parker’s conduct had distressed passengers and that the disruption had caused a financial loss of £20,000.
Parker had pleaded guilty to three offenses, including outraging public decency. She also admitted being drunk on the aircraft and disobeying a lawful instruction from the pilot. She could receive a custodial sentence.
