Italy is paying people up to €15,000 to move to Sardinia

If you're wondering why Sardinia offers people money to move there, here's the answer. The island faces a declining population fate as young locals move abroad for work. Italy's population is also aging as the average age of Italians is now 45.7 years, a figure expected to rise to 50.7 years by 2050. And the problem is particularly severe in rural areas of the country and in places like Sardinia.
Thus, according to the president of Sardinia, Cristian Solinas, by granting the amount of 15,000 euros, they are trying to give an incentive to young people to settle on the island or stay there permanently and build their family.
To be eligible for the Italian government grant, you must first move to a municipality in Sardinia with a population of less than 3,000 people, and you must also use the grant amount to buy or renovate a house. However, note that the grant cannot exceed half of the total cost of the home or renovation. Another condition to receive this amount is to register for permanent residence in Sardinia within 18 months of your arrival.
Although there are several conditions and criteria to receive the grant money, it is nevertheless a good opportunity to dare a change in your life, to live on the enchanting Italian island with its sandy beaches and turquoise waters.
