London Has Been Named One Of The Richest Cities In The World
Navigating life in London isn't always as breezy as a walk in Hyde Park. Costs have skyrocketed for everything: food, pints, rent, bills. This financial squeeze affects the average Londoner, yet the city is also teeming with the super-rich. London has once again been crowned one of the world's wealthiest metropolises.
A recent study reveals London ranks among the top five richest cities globally. This is according to the annual World's Wealthiest Cities Report for 2024, published by Henley & Partners.
It’s hardly surprising that London made the cut, but its position is noteworthy—landing fifth among the world's wealthiest cities. This ranking stems from London boasting a staggering 227,000 millionaires, 370 centi-millionaires (those with assets exceeding $100 million), and 35 billionaires.

So, which city clinched the top spot? That accolade goes to New York City, home to a whopping 349,000 millionaires and nearly double London's billionaire count at 60. London was edged out of fourth place by Singapore, which surpassed it this year with 244,800 millionaires and 30 billionaires. The city with the highest number of billionaires is the second-place overall San Francisco, flaunting 68 of them.
