Major European airline announces further flight cancellations to Dubai
Travelers booked to fly between Paris and Dubai face further disruption after Air France extended its service suspension until September 15, 2026. The extension affects the route between Paris Charles de Gaulle and Dubai International Airport amid ongoing regional security concerns.
If you're planning a trip, don't treat the suspension deadline as a guaranteed restart date. Check your individual booking and the airline’s latest updates before making arrangements around your arrival.
Air France has previously introduced flexible options for customers affected by the regional disruption, including opportunities to postpone or cancel trips. Travelers should contact the airline or their booking agent to confirm which arrangements apply to their tickets, including any conditions attached to changes or refunds.

KLM’s Dubai Suspension Also Continues
Passengers considering a connection through Amsterdam should also check availability carefully. KLM’s current travel advisory states that flights to and from Dubai remain suspended through October 24, 2026. That date marks the end of the announced suspension period; it is not a confirmed resumption date. The airline directs affected customers to its rebooking and refund options.
Dubai Airport Sees Signs of Recovery
The disruption has taken a substantial toll on Dubai International’s passenger numbers. The airport handled 31.5 million passengers during the first six months of 2026, a decline of 31.3% compared with the same period in 2025. Despite that fall, its operator has reported returning capacity and improving demand.
By the end of June, nearly 50 international airlines were serving DXB, offering connections to 217 destinations across 99 countries. Those figures point to a recovery in connectivity, although individual airlines continue to follow different schedules for restoring services.
If you have an upcoming Dubai trip, keep your contact details updated in your booking and check your flight status before leaving for the airport.
