Low-cost airline Wizz Air is launching new direct routes from London Luton to three of Greece’s most loved islands, with fares starting from just £31. Whether you’re planning a romantic getaway, a beach escape, or a classic Greek island adventure inspired by Mamma Mia!, these destinations deserve a spot on your travel list.

Mykonos – Chic Streets and Famous Sunsets

The first new route takes travelers to glamorous Mykonos, one of the Cyclades’ most iconic islands. Known for its postcard-perfect white buildings, narrow lanes, and historic windmills, Mykonos combines traditional Greek beauty with luxury island vibes.

While it’s often considered one of the pricier Greek islands, there are still plenty of unforgettable experiences that cost little or nothing.

Wandering through Chora, the island’s main town, is a highlight in itself. The area is filled with stylish boutiques, designer fashion stores, and charming cafés tucked into tiny alleyways. Even if you’re not shopping, strolling through the streets is part of the experience.

Wizz Air is also adding flights to Chania in Crete, Greece’s largest island and one of its most diverse destinations.

Crete offers a little bit of everything: beautiful beaches, mountain scenery, traditional villages, ancient history, and some of the best food in Greece.

Chania’s Venetian harbor is one of the island’s highlights, lined with waterfront restaurants, cafés, and bars. Behind the harbor, visitors can explore maze-like streets packed with local shops and hidden corners.

On the western side of the island, travelers looking for relaxation will find luxurious resorts and peaceful coastal spots. The region is especially popular for family holidays and spa breaks.

Those wanting to explore more of the island should visit Margarites, a charming mountain village famous for its handmade ceramics, or Rethymno, a lively coastal city known for markets, nightlife, and seaside dining.

Food lovers should also make time for traditional Cretan mezze and fresh seafood restaurants before taking a boat trip to Spinalonga, the historic island fortress and UNESCO World Heritage location.

Rhodes – Sunshine and Medieval Charm

The third new route heads to Rhodes, the largest island in the Dodecanese and one of Greece’s sunniest holiday destinations.

With more than 300 days of sunshine each year, Rhodes is ideal for summer travelers searching for reliable warm weather and crystal-clear beaches.

One of the island’s biggest attractions is Rhodes Old Town, a UNESCO-listed medieval city considered among the best preserved in Europe. Visitors can wander through ancient stone streets, historic gates, and lively squares filled with restaurants and shops.

Another must-see destination is Lindos, a picturesque whitewashed village famous for its hilltop views overlooking the Aegean Sea. The combination of traditional houses, ancient ruins, and coastal scenery makes it one of the most photographed spots on the island.
