UK Government Lists 76 Destinations British Travellers Should Avoid
The UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) has issued updated travel warnings affecting dozens of countries worldwide amid rising conflicts and safety concerns.
Due to ongoing unrest in the Middle East — including simmering tensions and active conflict — British holidaymakers and other travellers have been urged to reconsider plans to visit several popular and less-visited destinations. According to the latest FCDO guidance, 76 out of 226 territories with official travel advice are currently designated as places to avoid or to visit only in exceptional circumstances.
This list covers a wide range of nations across multiple continents. Some are flagged for widespread instability, while others have specific regions that are deemed particularly unsafe. As a result of recent events, regions such as parts of the Gulf have seen dramatic travel disruptions, with flights in and out of hubs like Dubai temporarily halted, leaving some Britons stuck overseas.
