Most Dangerous Countries in the World 2023
Are you planning a leisure or business trip anywhere in the world in the year 2023? As you probably know, not all countries are equally safe to visit. There are several studies on the risk of a country and it is worth mentioning that there are many factors that contribute to any area being the most dangerous. In some countries it is safe to even choose a solo trip, while in others it is preferable to discover them with a larger group of people.
According to the latest Travel Risk Map, an interactive tool produced by security specialists at International SOS, these are the 10 most dangerous countries in the world. They have been assessed as carrying an ‘extreme travel security risk’.
Afghanistan
Central African Republic
Iraq
Libya
Mali
Somalia
South Sudan
Syria
Ukraine
Yemen
The map is configured with the following criteria:
The current threat posed by travelers to political violence (including terrorism and insurgency),
Social unrest (including religious, community and ethnic violence)
Violent and petty bourgeois crimes
Only a few countries manage not to have yellow or red on the map (colors that symbolize danger). In Europe, only Luxembourg, Denmark, Slovenia, Switzerland, Norway, Finland, Iceland and Greenland are at the lowest level.
